Perspex jewellery is the fun costume jewellery that will get people talking to you. What I love most about acrylic jewellery is that it's often made by hand and show true originality. I've gathered together the top five perspex jewellery brands which I think best represent perspex jewellery; Tatty Devine, Lily Kamper, Bonnie Bling, Sour Cherry and Rosa Pietsch.
Tatty Devine is currently celebrating 16 years of creating beautiful perspex jewellery. I love how they craft their items in the store by hand if you want the personal touch and that they run regular workshops where you can make your own unique Tatty Devine piece. They are also the creator of the original statement name necklace.
Bonnie Bling came to my attention when they were selected to be in the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 for the Trail Blazers section in 2014. They are Scottish based and have made beautiful acrylic jewellery reflecting the fauna and flora of Scotland. I also really love that they made perspex Scottish Referendum keyrings.
Lily Kamper is often thought of as the perspex jewellery brand for a more subtle look with all the colour and fun of acrylic jewellery. Her perspex columns are instantly recognisable and incredibly chic.
Each piece of jewellery is hand-turned on a lathe from blocks of resin and Perspex. Lily’s love of colour is shown throughout the collections with each piece of Perspex dyed by hand with each colour mixed individually. You will find her stocked in Liberty London.
Sour Cherry are Sheffield based perspex jewellers and opened their first store in 2014. I was most struck by the vast range of very quirky and kitsch jewellery but mostly by some the collection inspirations they have used to make their jewellery especially the Doctor Who collections.
