Animals are always in trend however its the stylisation and the animal type that seems to go in and out of fashion. I've been putting together this edit for a while but I keep finding new animals to add to the ever expanding post about animals charms and it's been harder and harder to whittle it down. So I have decided to go for a larger post and group some by designers as often a designer will do a whole collection based on that group of animals.

However this does mean that no matter your budget or what animal you want I guarantee that someone has done it and it's available as a bracelet, or a ring and in silver or maybe rose. Take your time and find exactly what you want with this trend as it's pretty timeless and you'll be wearing it for a few years to come.

Alexis Dove - Menagerie

The first collection I started looking at what Menagerie by Alexis Dove. I realised I'd saved, more or less, every photo from the collection. What I really loved is the specifics of the animals, there isn't just a dog pendant. You can get a pug, spaniel, sausage dog, a jack russell, and even a corgi.

I also selected a few others are they were very unique to this collection. The Guinea Pig and the Fish and my favorite the Dinosaurs.

For all the above pendents you can chose your chain length and the finish for the animal.
The T-Rex is also available with tiny 1 point green diamond eyes if you didn't already want one.

Jana Reinhardt

Jana Reinhardt has many animal themed collections: Out of Africa, Cats and Dogs, Hummingbird, Little Sparrow and Polar Nights. Again it's hard to edit this collection down again as there are so many that are really lovely and unique to Jana Reinhardt's collection.

Alex Monroe

Alex Monroe is another designer that has been inspired by nature, travel and animals. A repeating theme through out all his collections. There are so many from mammals, to birds and under the sea creatures and of course insects, with the most famous bee pendent. It's hard to narrow down my favourites as there are a lot to choose from. I do love some of the close to home animals but as well the exotic and unusual. My personal favourite is the Pig and the Cockatoo. I love the use of metal colour to add to the animals characteristic. The rose gold shrimp and yellow gold camel are all the more lifelike and the use of two tones of metal to create the detailing on the cockatoo and the toucan.

Bill Skinner

Bill Skinner has quite a few animals in his collections. I have picked out a few very different styles. Bill Skinner is great as also adding something extra to each one piece to give character to the animals. Once again the trend of mixing metals and using the colours to bring each piece to life even further. The orangutan with the flowers and banana and the gold crest bird on the leaves with a strawberry.

The best and most lovely is the kitten with the red ball of yarn. The kitten is so lifelike that it gives this pendant a magical quality to it. I imagine that when you wear this that everyone who saw you would tell you how wonderful it is. It's all a steal at £65.00 with a choice of grey or red yarn.

What's clear from the research is that Elephants are the animal of the moment. Not only did some of the above designers have elephant pendents available, But I also found some stunning beauties on the high street too.
